What do I need to know about towing setup?
​
  • We provide a 2 5/16" ball and adjustable height shank to ensure your vehicle is set up to tow the trailer level. 

  • If your vehicle is does not have an integrated trailer brake controller, search for your vehicle here to confirm that our bluetooth brake controller will work with your model.

  • We will give you a thorough overview of towing setup upon check-in and will partner with you before your trip to help you confirm your setup.

Tow Capacity

Exceed listed GVWR

Your vehicle must have a minimum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of
> 3500 lbs to tow the Sport 16 and > 7300 lbs to tow the Flying Cloud 25. Not sure your vehicle’s tow capacity? You may be able to find it on this chart.

Connector

7 Pin Round

In order to safely and legally tow the trailer on public roads, you need to have working trailer lights that are plugged into your vehicle and operating in sync with your vehicle's lights. The back of your vehicle must have a 7 way connection with a hinged cover. Learn more about trailer wiring here.

2" Receiver

Class III or higher hitch

The back of your vehicle must have a 2" square receiver with a class III or higher hitch. To learn more about hitch classes, visit here.

We have thoughtfully curated our trailers with items that are uniquely suited for the space.

The items in bold are included on every trip. A fully stocked trailer is available upon request to provide you a hotel-like experience with all the kitchen, bath and bedroom essentials you need. Whether you prefer to bring your own supplies or for us to stock the trailer on your behalf, we encourage you to use this list as a packing cheat-sheet for your trip.
